• Sample should taken in Citrated or EDTA vial.

Significance of test
Depending on level of G6PD deficiency is categorised as:
Class I :(< 5 % of normal value)
: Rare chronic, congenital anemia.
: Non Spherocytic Hemolytic Anemia.
Class II :(< 10 % of normal Value)
: Acute hemolytic crisis induced by oxidant drags.
Class III :(10 - 60 % of normal Value)
: Oxidant drugs or infection.
: Megaloblastic Anemia.
: Chronic Blood Loss.
